Certified Surgical Technologist

Responsible for assisting in surgical procedures by handling instrumentation and anticipating the needs of the surgeon while maintaining aseptic techniques to AORN standards. Responsibilities Maintain skills and competencies required of the Surgical Technologist position. Maintain Surgical Technologist Certification Demonstrate working knowledge of service lines including use of specialized equipment. Primary Preceptor for the scrub role. Comply with customer service requirements. Actively participate in QI programs. Respond to emergency situations under the direction of a RN. Perform all other job related duties as assigned. Maintain and gather supplies to perform job Maintain BLS Job Qualifications and Specifications Graduation of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Surgical Technologist Certification is required. BLS Certification required.
