Job #: 3714Company: TMAC (The Medical Affairs Company (TMAC))Posted: Tuesday, September 1, 2026Serving as a value-added resource and extension of Client’s Medical Affairs organization, the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will support the Clients Global Medical Affairs team. The MSL will work full time to initially build relationships and engage in Scientific Exchange with the respiratory virus disease state community. Through these relationships, they will collaborate with other field teams to raise awareness of and support Client’s research efforts and global studies through disease thought leaders and investigator discussions.The MSL will serve as a liaison between Client Medical Affairs and the clinical study sites, investigators, and the clinical research organization (CRO) staff. The MSL will be responsible for conducting outreach to clinical investigators and site staff to develop relationships, support education and enrollment initiatives, and represent Client’s interests.This position will include compliance, regulatory and study specific training. Documentation of all interactions, processes, metrics, and reporting will be directed and executed in accordance with Client policy. Clients will be responsible for the delegation of investigators/study sites to the MSL based on geographic proximity, demand, availability, deadlines, priorities, and other factors.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrimaryIdentify and conduct outreach to clinical investigators, site staff and referring physicians to develop relationships, support enrollment initiatives and represent Client’s interests.Engagement of RSV KOLs/TLs and Centers of Excellence.It is expected that the MSL will dedicate at least 4 working days per week toward field activities and 1 day per week on administrative tasks.Prepare for and present study information via formal presentations to investigators, site staff and referring physicians to generate interest for participation in company sponsored studies or related activities and/or to confirm understanding of a specific protocol.Engage site staff and investigators in discussion to understand and report challenges in subject enrollment and retention and offer potential solutions.Upon request, educate clinical trial sites, referring physicians, and groups of potential subjects about disease state or study design.Interact and build positive relationships with key stakeholders on the Medical Affairs and Research and Development teams as well as the clinical trial sites assigned study team members including field monitors and CRAs.Communicate any adverse event information, reports of concern or product complaints in accordance with Client’s policies.It is expected that the MSL be solidly versed in clinical data such that the full range of innovative science and clinical aspects of Client’s compounds can be appreciated by the healthcare practitioner, Thought Leader, or investigator.As assigned, attend local, regional, and national medical conferences, obtain new medical insights, stay informed of clinical trends and support and maintain relationships with key investigators.Communicate investigator/study coordinator inquiries requiring follow-up to designated contacts within Client and/or the Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations team.As Client Field Position evolves, additional responsibilities:Territory Thought Leader (TL) mapping beyond Tier 1.Engagement of Centers of Excellence and Research (CoER)Clinical Trial Outcomes Sharing and Insight Gathering.Medical Meeting Medical Insight gathering, compilation, and reporting.Medical Literature surveillance and summaries to be shared across the company (Literature Alerts).Journal Club presentations and management/scheduling.Investigator Sponsored Research Discussions.Medical Affairs projects as appropriate.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEDoctoral degree in life/health sciences is required (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent)Prior experience as an MSL (3-6 years); preferably with a clinical trial focusAbility to understand and effectively communicate scientific and medical information to both internal and external stakeholders.Excellent written and oral communication skills are imperative; ability to anticipate and adapt to change; strong interpersonal skills commensurate with the need to work closely with partners, investigators, contractors, consultants, and team members across functions.Established track record of effective and influential oral presentations to both large and small audiences within the healthcare profession.Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently yet engage in collaboratively within Field team to complete tasks in a timely fashion. Excellent organizational skills and multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSComputer skills including MicroSoft Office (e.g.,Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc,) and programs such as Zoom are expected.Ability to manage a geographically assigned territory from a home-based office.A willingness to travel within the assigned region is required; overnight travel is required.
