Design Manager - Men's and Boys Performance Active

Dynamic apparel company is seeking a Design Manager for Men’s & Boys’ Performance Active. This is a non-traditional, highly collaborative role that bridges creative vision and technical execution. Acting as a central connector, this position co-owns the product journey from initial concept to commercial adoption, ensuring product accuracy, calendar alignment, and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Co-own internal product creation workflows; manage development calendars, track key milestones, and mitigate timing risks across Design, Product Development, and Fabric teams
• Translate creative intent into accurate sketches, tech packs, prototypes, and samples; drive fabric, color, print, and artwork direction based on market trends
• Maintain costing trackers, identify cost-engineered alternatives to balance design with business goals, and implement process improvements to enhance operational speed and transparency
• Serve as the primary communication link between internal teams and external partners; organize digital product development across PLM and collaboration platforms
Qualifications & Requirements
• 7+ years of experience in apparel design, merchandising, product creation, or emerging approaches to product development
• Strong proficiency in apparel construction, tech packs, fit, fabrics, CADs, and digital collaboration tools (e.g., PLM, Miro, Centric)
