Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Rounds in Newport News VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location where you will conduct routine patrols stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and this dynamic role you will bring agility reliability innovation teamwork and integrity to every shift while putting people first.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel visitors and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols at an industrial location.
• Respond to incidents alarms and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas warehouse spaces loading zones parking areas and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity verify visitor and/or contractor access as directed by site policies and report security-related concerns maintenance issues and/or policy violations.
• Complete routine logs incident reports and shift documentation and support emergency response activities in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
