About the Role:

The Dental Assistant plays a critical role in supporting dental professionals to deliver high-quality patient care in a safe and efficient environment. This position involves preparing treatment rooms, assisting during dental procedures, and ensuring all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained. The Dental Assistant also manages patient records, schedules appointments, and provides compassionate support to patients to ease their experience. By maintaining strict infection control protocols and utilizing dental terminology accurately, the assistant helps uphold the highest standards of dental care. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program.
• Certification in Infection Control and Sterilization procedures.
• Basic proficiency in dental terminology and dental care practices.
• Experience using dental practice management software such as Dentrix.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential.
• Previous experience in a busy dental office setting.
• Advanced training in body motion ergonomics to reduce workplace injury.
• Additional certifications in CPR and first aid.
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated compassion in patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize dental treatment rooms and instruments before patient appointments.
• Assist dentists during various dental procedures by handing instruments and materials as needed.
• Ensure all dental tools and equipment are sterilized and comply with infection control standards.
• Manage patient records and update dental software systems such as Dentrix for scheduling and documentation.
• Provide patients with clear instructions on oral hygiene and post-treatment care with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment by following body motion ergonomics and safety protocols.
• Support the dental team in trimming and preparing dental materials as required.
