Field Service Technician (Oil & Gas)

Field Service EngineerWe are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to support water treatment and purification projects in Oil & Gas operations. This person will be based out of Longmont, CO and support product field trial system installations and operations in Oil & Gas and possibly other industrial plants in the USA. This is a dynamic, hands-on position requiring a well-rounded skill set for recent engineering graduates or the more experienced engineer. The balance of time will be used for data analysis, remotely supporting trial operations, preparing equipment and materials for deployment, and building a detailed understanding of specific applications/processes. The position will often be customer-facing, requiring effective, professional communication skills. The Field Engineer will work as part of this company's growing teams and will closely interface with this company's operations and engineering teams. The position will require traveling regularly to work at customer facilities, which is expected to be 25% of the time. The position will require traveling regularly to work at customer facilities, which is expected to be 25% of the time.Why you should be interested:Entry-level training with industry veteransCompanywide bonus initiativesCompetitive salary, depending on experiencePTO and paid holidaysHealth insurance, life insurance, disability, 401kFlexible time management program that recognizes demands of challenging field service workResponsibilities:Adhere to safety policies and procedures and any safety protocols required at customer facilitiesInstall and provide operations support for chemical production systems at customer facilities including pulp mills, water treatment facilities, agricultural locations, and food processing facilities for product trials and permanent installationsTravel to and work at customer facilities to run product trialsCommunicate and work with the customer's management and staffDevelop a detailed understanding and proficiency for chemical production systems to maintain, troubleshoot and repair chemical production equipmentTest and evaluate chemical production systems before and after deploymentConduct chemical analyses of products and of process streams treated by the chemistryManage and coordinate systems and equipment for deployment to trials and permanent installationsDevelop an understanding of specific customer facilities and processAnalyze customer data and key performance indicators to understand the impact of technology in a variety of applicationsEvaluate processes in field operations settings and communicate with Operation Engineering and HSEQ (health, safety, environment & quality) teams to develop improvements to safety, quality, and efficiencyQualifications:Bachelor's or Master's Degree in engineering field (Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, etc) or comparable work experience2-5 years of experience in industrial facilities like oil & gas, food & beverage, pulp & paper, water treatment, chemical, or pharmaceuticalExcellent problem-solving skills with process equipment and automation, chemical manufacturing, or industrial/municipal water treatment processesHands-on experience working with PLC's, process sensors, control signals, power supplies, motors, and pumpsFamiliarity with chemical reactions, chemical notation, stoichiometric calculations, and converting units of measureApplied knowledge of analytical chemistry techniquesExperience with chemical hygiene and safety programsExposure to distributed control systems (DCS) and data historian softwareSpreadsheet and database software to compile, analyze, and present dataExperience with engineering design software, MS Office, and Google Suite tools preferredEquipment assembly or fabrication experience and process hazard analysis preferredProject management experience preferredAbility to travel (25%, varies by month), work flexible and extended hours at sitesPay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
