Job Summary

Eligible for Up to $7,500 Sign-on Bonus, if hired externally. Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Emergency Department team at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time night shift opportunity.The Pediatric ED provides specialized emergency care for infants, children, and adolescents. This role is ideal for nurses passionate about pediatric care in a fast-paced, family-centered environment. Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities: • Provide emergency care to pediatric patients• Administer medications per policy• Educate families on diagnosis and treatment plans• Collaborate with pediatric specialists and care teams• Coordinate care with ancillary services• Serve as a patient and family advocate

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services.

• Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care• Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care• Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.Certification- ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs• PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED.

Associate Degree (AA/AS) - Nursing; Bachelor Degree (BA/BS) - Nursing

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA
• Registered Nurse (RN) - State Nursing Boards
• Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) - ENA
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification - AAP
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) - ENA
