Ready Mix Driver

Responsibilities and Duties Deliver ready‑mixed concrete and other associated products from batch plants to construction sites and homes in a safe and efficient manner. Conduct pre‑trip inspections of ready‑mix trucks according to D.O.T. regulations. Safely load and promptly deliver ready‑mixed concrete to job sites as dispatched while maintaining positive customer and public relations. Perform related loading and unloading operations with the ready‑mix delivery truck in an efficient, safe manner. Carry out regular maintenance and cleaning inside the concrete drum as required. Rinse chutes and the rear of the truck free of spilled concrete, and return the truck to the batch plant following EPA regulations. Assist concrete block molds and production as needed. Keep inside the cab clean and sanitary. Perform daily cleaning and routine maintenance of the truck. Perform other functions and duties as required or directed. Qualifications and Skills Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines. Must multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Self‑motivated and able to complete tasks on time and with little supervision. Must pass a background check, drug test, and Department of Transportation (DOT) physical. Can climb in and out of the truck when delivering concrete and lift extensions, chutes, and other items weighing between 25 and 75 pounds at least 30 percent of the time.
