Executive Compensation Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Executive Compensation Associate in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 5 years of experience in executive and equity compensation, particularly in strategic and private equity M&A transactions. Experience with growth-stage technology and life sciences companies is preferred, and familiarity with qualified retirement plans, ESOPs, and health and welfare plans is advantageous.

Duties

• Evaluate and resolve executive pay and benefits considerations during mergers and acquisitions and other corporate deals.
• Draft and advise on equity and cash incentive plans and executive employment agreements.
• Prepare SEC-required compensation and benefits disclosures for securities filings.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in executive compensation and benefits at a peer law firm.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and manage individual responsibilities.
• Admission to the State Bar of the office location is required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
