External Communities Job Description Job Title: GIS Technician Job Description The GIS Technician will be responsible for conducting data mining, managing large file structures, performing geometric fixes, and executing orthorectification tasks. Responsibilities Conduct data mining to extract relevant geospatial information. Manage and work with large file structures efficiently. Perform geometric fixes to ensure data accuracy. Execute orthorectification to correct geometric distortions in imagery. Essential Skills Proficiency in ArcGIS software. Degree in Geography or a related field. Experience with feature extraction and geospatial analysis. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Work Environment The position is based in an office environment with open seating arrangements for 80-100 people. The dress code is laid-back, allowing jeans and t-shirts, though business casual is also acceptable. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with an option to work four 10-hour shifts if preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
