Clinic Coordinator - Ballard & 45th Street Youth Clinic (1.0 FTE)

The Clinic Coordinator provides general administrative and clerical assistance and support for the clinic. Greets, registers, checking-in and scheduling patient appointments. Provides Neighborcare information to patients. Works in partnership and joint accountability with other team members to achieve Neighborcare’s Mission, Guiding Principles and goals. This is a full-time position with a weekly schedule of Monday through Friday, with evening hours on Wednesday for the Youth Clinic. The hours for the Ballard Clinic shift will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30am-5pm. The hours for the New Horizons Youth Clinic shift are from 1:30pm-5pm, and the hours for the 45 th Street Youth Clinic are from 5:30pm-9pm on Wednesday. Compensation: The target wage range for this position is $24.48 per hour to $30.78 per hour. Final offers are individually based on various factors, including skill set, years of experience, location, qualifications, work schedule and other job-related reasons. In this position you will: Prepare clinic to open and close for business in a timely manner, in accordance with the clinic’s posted schedule Check in patients and create charts: gather and update patient information Answer telephones, schedule patient appointments, confirm appointments and transfer calls to appropriate staff member Assist provider teams with paperwork, copying, faxing, etc. Manage inventory of office supplies, including the ordering, receiving and stocking of supplies Monitor referrals and communicate with referral team Using EMR, send tasks and communications to provider team members Participate in trainings relative to front desk processes and procedures Assist in the processing and follow up of government sponsored insurance applications Assist in primary care provider assignments Perform other duties as assigned. Key Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities Knowledge of and skill in the use of personal computers with the ability to learn and use companysoftware programs Ability to meet and comply with HIPPA/Confidentiality policies and procedures Ability to be detail oriented and multi-task, organize and problem solve Ability to work effectively with staff members and patients Ability to effectively perform job duties under high levels of activity, variety of conditions and restraints Ability to prioritize and follow through with front office tasks; to follow written and verbal directions and to complete assigned task Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills and customer service; to remain calm and professional when faced with difficult situations and emergencies; to perform de-escalation tactics, and open to learning more Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand basic math Ability to demonstrate predictable, reliable and timely attendance Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with people with lived experience of homelessness, people of color, LGBTQ+, varying country of origin, and abilities.
