R&D Machinist

Location Los Angeles Employment Type Full time Department Manufacturing & Quality Machining Compensation $30 – $50 per hour • Offers Equity As a growing Series B startup, the salary range is intentionally wide as we determine the most appropriate package for each individual, taking into consideration: years of experience, educational background, and unique skills and abilities as demonstrated throughout the interview process. Our intent is to offer a salary that is commensurate for the company’s current stage of development and allows the employee to grow and develop within a role. In addition to the significant stock option package, the estimated salary range for this role is posted. Roles and Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot multi-axis CNC mills (3, 4, 5-axis) and/or live tooling lathes for development hardware and test fixtures Monitor, replace, and re-set cutting tools Perform deburring on parts as necessary Provide feedback to engineering to improve manufacturability of various components Complete work instructions and other process documentation Work across graphite, stainless, and high-temp alloys Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED 3+ years of experience in setup and operation of CNC mills and/or lathes Ability to read and understand G-code, engineering drawings, GD&T Preferred Skills & Experience Experience with machining stainless steel, exotic alloys (Inconel), and/or graphite Experience operating Fanuc CNC controllers Able to read and modify G-code based on the fly based on machine performance Experience working in an R&D machining environment Experience working with a quality system (AS9100, ISO 9001, NQA1, or similar) Able to balance/adjust priorities based on dynamic schedule demands Additional Requirements Must be open to working split - shift for a period of time to support a surge Ability to work long hours and weekends as necessary to support critical milestones Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Bending, stooping, and standing for long periods of time may be needed to perform the tasks of the job Equal Opportunity Antares is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
