The Rental Solution Specialist (RSS) is a field-based commercial role within our DxP business. You will work closely with Komatsu East rental sales teams and EARTHBRAIN Smart Construction Specialists to turn equipment rental opportunities into broader Smart Construction adoption and long-term customer value. This is not a traditional equipment rental sales role. You will combine customer-facing sales, jobsite engagement, construction technology, and data-driven value conversations.
RSS and the Smart Construction Specialist (SCS) work as a team. RSS creates and develops opportunities from the rental channel; SCS helps customers understand, implement, and adopt the broader Smart Construction solution set. The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$110,000 per year. Actual base salary will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
This position is eligible for a performance-based sales incentive program with a target annual incentive opportunity of 30% of base salary. Actual incentive payments may vary based on individual, team, and business performance. Benefits

- Partner with dealer rental sales teams to identify rental opportunities and engage customers at the jobsite.
- Support jobsites using construction technology and create digital jobsite data, including activities such as drone surveying, design-data transfer, progress measurement, and haul-cycle counting.
- Use accumulated jobsite data to conduct value conversations with customer owners and senior decision-makers after project completion or equipment return.
- Work with the SCS to present the broader Smart Construction solution portfolio and develop opportunities for DxP adoption.
- Build trusted relationships with dealer sales teams, contractors, field leaders, and customer management.
- Contribute field learning as EARTHBRAIN establishes a repeatable go-to-market model across the Komatsu East territory.
- 3+ years of rental sales experience with a construction equipment dealer or a closely related heavy-equipment rental business.
- Strong interest in learning and applying new construction technologies.
- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with dealer teams, contractors, field personnel, and business owners.
- Comfort working in field environments and learning through hands-on jobsite experience.
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
- Experience with machine control, GNSS/GPS, surveying, drones, digital construction, or construction technology solutions.
- Experience selling or supporting technology-enabled solutions to contractors.
- Experience presenting business value to owners or senior customer stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Komatsu equipment, iMC, or Smart Construction.
- Field-based, with dealer locations serving as your primary operating base.
- Direct travel to jobsites and customer meetings as needed.
- Approximately 25% travel, primarily within the dealer territory or for training.
- Initial focus on establishing the operating model in New Jersey, with opportunities to support broader expansion across the Komatsu East territory.
The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$110,000 per year. Actual base salary will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
