Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Eureka, CA | Intermediate Care / Step-Down Unit

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care / Progressive Care / Step-Down unit setting
• Monitor and assess patients requiring a higher level of observation than a standard medical-surgical floor
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float between sister facilities nearby the contracted location as needed to support staffing demands
• Complete required facility modules prior to start and during orientation
• Adhere to all scheduling commitments, including holiday coverage requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of IMC/PCU/Step-Down experience required
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal — post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rates (locals accepted at a lower rate)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a travel nursing capacity within a progressive or intermediate care environment
• Demonstrated flexibility with scheduling and willingness to float to nearby facilities
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and management of higher-acuity patients
