This role offers a remote work setting, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while still engaging deeply with patients. The typical work schedule requires availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate the unique scheduling needs of our clients. Collaborating with a diverse and talented team of mental health professionals, you will have the opportunity to participate in regular team meetings and case conferences as part of our commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain insight into patients' unique experiences, ensuring the development of tailored treatment plans.

  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions that consider patients' cultural backgrounds and personal circumstances, enhancing the efficacy of treatment.

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities to address and mitigate patients' mental health challenges.

  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and comprehensive care, enhancing overall patient outcomes.

  • Offer timely crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, employing strong de-escalation strategies.

  • Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, coping strategies, and available community resources, empowering them in their recovery journey.

  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.

  • Participate in ongoing cultural competency training and professional development activities to stay informed of current best practices in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your expertise will be crucial in serving a variety of individuals from diverse and sometimes underserved backgrounds. You will help create an inclusive atmosphere that encourages open dialogue about mental health and addresses underlying issues faced by ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant populations.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.
  • \n
  • Robust knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and cultural competencies in therapy.
  • \n
  • Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy using inclusive and culturally responsive techniques.
  • \n
  • Strong crisis intervention skills, ensuring calm and effective handling of challenging situations.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.
  • \n
  • Commitment to upholding professional ethics, confidentiality, and the highest standards of care.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling setting, preferably in an outpatient clinic environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range between $70,000 and $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
