CAE Durability Engineer

CAE Durability Engineer (5 positions for the same role) Responsibilities Perform FEA to assess stress, strain, fatigue life, and structural durability. Develop and validate CAE models, including meshing, material properties, loads, and boundary conditions. Conduct linear and nonlinear structural analyses under representative operating conditions. Correlate simulation results with physical testing and investigate discrepancies. Recommend design improvements to meet durability and performance requirements. Document findings and collaborate with design, testing, and product engineering teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Experience performing CAE durability and fatigue analysis for automotive applications. Proficiency with tools such as Abaqus, ANSYS, or Nastran. Experience with HyperMesh or ANSA and fatigue tools such as nCode DesignLife or fe-safe. Strong understanding of fatigue, material behavior, structural mechanics, and FEA fundamentals. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Experience with vehicle chassis, suspension, body structures, or powertrain components. Familiarity with road-load data, weld fatigue, and test correlation. Python or other scripting experience for analysis automation. #J-18808-Ljbffr OnPoint Insights LLC.
