Computer Scientist
LS Technologies is seeking a recent Computer Scientist graduate with experience in the FAA Automated Maintenance Management System (AMMS). The candidate must possess a strong Computer Scientist foundation, along with demonstrated experience supporting FAA AMMS applications in Apple mobile and macOS environments. The selected candidate will assist with application testing, script execution, and collaboration with the AMMS team in support of FAA testing processes.
Salary Range based on Relevant Years of Experience: $45,000-$55,000
Job Duties & Responsibilities - Essential Job Functions may include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with AMMS applications on Apple mobile devices, including iPad, iPhone, Mac mini, and other platforms running iOS and/or macOS.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience testing applications in the iOS operating environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in the macOS environment to help develop, debug, and execute test scripts for iOS applications.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with other AMMS team members during test development and execution. General knowledge of FAA testing processes. Preferred Background:
- Recent Computer Scientist graduate.
- FAA AMMS experience strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting application testing in Apple-based environments.
- Required Qualifications - A successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in software and systems testing, preferably in aviation or transportation sectors.
- Proficiency in test case development, execution, and defect tracking tools.
- Strong analytical and communication skills for stakeholder reporting and test documentation.

- Work Location: Egg Harbor, New Jersey
- Position is: Onsite in person - Some Remote Flex
- Work Hours: 40

- Background check: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
- Physical Requirements:
- Extended Computer Use: Regular and prolonged periods of working at a computer terminal.
- Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting of equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds may be required during installations or maintenance.
- Mobility: Ability to move around the office environment to access computer hardware, networking equipment, and server rooms.
- Dexterity: Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform tasks requiring precision.
- Sitting/Standing: Both prolonged sitting and occasional standing may be required for troubleshooting and attending to system issues.
- Work Environment/Environmental Factors:
- Primarily computer-based work; meetings or collaboration may be required.
