Travel RN – Cardiac Telemetry/Stepdown | New Haven, CT

Location: New Haven, CT
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 3x12s | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
⏰ Guaranteed Hours: Yes

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Telemetry/Stepdown RN experience
• Cardiac experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Connecticut RN License (pending license accepted; application must be submitted before submission)
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Willingness to float as needed
• Every other weekend required

Clinical Skills:

• Cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Heparin protocols
• Cardiac drips (non-titrating)
• Post-cardiac catheterization care
• Post-myocardial infarction (MI) care
• Pacemaker monitoring and management
• TR Band management
• Peripheral IV and central line care
• Rapid Response/Code Team participation
• Oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management

• 30-bed unit
• Patient ratio: 1:4 (Nights)
• Level I Trauma Center
• Short-Term Acute Care Hospital

Additional Information:

• Local candidates (within 75 miles) are not accepted
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved
