Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician (MT or MLT) | Casual Job Category : OPLAB Requisition Number : MEDIC002065 Apply now Part-Time Locations Showing 1 location Hillsdale Hospital Hillsdale Hospital 168 S Howell St Hillsdale, MI 49242, USA Hillsdale Hospital Hillsdale Hospital 168 S Howell St Hillsdale, MI 49242, USA Varied days and hours depending on needs of the Laboratory 2nd shift premium is $2.00/hour; 3rd shift premium is $3.05/hour; weekend premium is an additional $2.00/hour Requirements Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Masters's degree in medical laboratory technology, clinical laboratory science, chemistry, or biology BLS certification (available through Hillsdale Hospital) Responsibilities Perform qualitative and quantitative tests and examinations using various analyzer and/or manual methods on specimen sources such as blood, urine, and other body fluids Responsible for all regulatory compliance issues necessary for accreditation Assess accuracy and validity of obtained test results by applying knowledge of relevant scientific principles, recognize changes that are critical to patient care, identify probable causes for irregular and atypical findings Troubleshoot instruments and resolves technical problems, documenting corrective action and initiating remedial action Will follow written policies and procedures for a comprehensive quality assurance program, patient test management, quality control, test procedures and policy manuals Why Hillsdale Hospital Hillsdale Hospital is dedicated to excellence in healthcare community service, continued improvement, and respect for human life.
