Universal Banker TS Bank is seeking to hire a Universal Banker for our location in Treynor, Iowa. This position is responsible for contributing to sales targets by identifying and fulfilling simple sales opportunities and promoting bank products. Responsibilities include greeting customers, opening day‑to‑day accounts, and working closely with team members to ensure an optimal customer experience. Preferred education and experience: High school diploma or GED required. Additional post‑high school education and/or training is preferred. One year of work experience in a financial institution, cash handling experience, and prior sales experience is a plus. Location: Treynor, Iowa. Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour. Qualifications & Skills Comply with all banking and company regulations, policies, and procedures. Must have reliable transportation to travel to and from work and other work‑related events, meetings, interactions with clients, etc. Ability to operate telephone, personal computer, printer, copy machine, fax machine; working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software; advanced PC knowledge beneficial. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and the general public. Strong communication skills. Basic math skills and ability to read and interpret bar graphs. Ability to work before or after normal business hours, including weekends and overnight travel, to meet deadlines and attend meetings or training programs. Ability to perform all other duties as assigned. Protect TS Banking Group financial interests and reputation by complying with internal and external policies, procedures, and regulations. Assist with daily operating activities such as ABM servicing and opening and closing procedures. Contribute to sales goals by identifying and fulfilling simple sales opportunities to increase sales and revenue. Cross‑sell bank products to new and existing customers. Direct sales opportunities to the appropriate sales officer. Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations and internal policies and procedures. Foster a relationship of mutual trust and confidence with clients and team members. Greet and interact with customers when they enter the branch. Meet clients' day‑to‑day transactional needs and resolve service and maintenance inquiries. Promote bank products. Open day‑to‑day accounts, fulfill pre‑approved credit opportunities, and work closely with team members to ensure optimal experience for clients. Interact with the local market to gain new clients and expand relationships with existing clients. Provide world‑class client service through quality conversations, efficient and accurate processing of transactions, and adherence to the Branch Service Level Agreement. Sell, open, and maintain all personal banking products and services to new and existing clients, highlighting features and benefits and cross‑selling to other TS Banking Group areas. Meet or exceed all established sales goals and contribute to branch deposit growth; track and log all interactions in the bank’s CRM system. Maintain a system of follow‑up mail and telephone communication throughout the year with new and existing clients to generate additional business. Answer client questions and handle objections during the sales process; diplomatically handle dissatisfied clients by providing exceptional client service. Perform account opening and transactional processes efficiently, accurately, and professionally. Proficient in personal account opening, maintenance, closing, including checking, savings, and safe deposit boxes. Adheres to lean account opening process. Check ordering, check cashing procedures, issue cashier’s checks, process wire transfers, account maintenance, transfer/sweeps, online banking and mobile banking maintenance, stop payments, process holds and ACH/debit card disputes. Proficient in BSA requirements including CTR transactions, monetary instrument log, and detecting/reporting suspicious/unusual activity. Provide awareness of all banking products and services via outbound communication and interaction with current and prospective clients; refer appropriately and maintain knowledge of TS Banking Group products and services; gather and organize client information based on referrals, answer questions, make follow‑up calls, use CRM system. Participate in branch and bank business development activities including community events. Proactive aisle prospecting required for in‑store bankers. Proficient in deposit compliance disclosures; comply with all banking regulations, policies and procedures.
