Low Voltage Technician

Pay Range: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.

Outsource is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to support installation projects in the Nashville, Tennessee area. This role is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of hands-on low voltage experience who is comfortable working on structured cabling and rack systems. Candidates with a background in broadcast installation are strongly preferred. This is an immediate need, and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply promptly.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling including Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber optic lines
• Lace and terminate equipment racks according to industry standards and project specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Assist with the installation of broadcast and AV equipment on job sites
• Label and document all cabling and connections for accuracy and future reference
• Troubleshoot connectivity and signal issues during and after installation
• Coordinate with project leads and other trades to ensure timely job completion

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a low voltage technician or in a related installation role
• Prior broadcast installation experience strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience lacing and terminating racks
• Working knowledge of structured cabling standards and best practices
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematics
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces such as ceilings or crawl spaces
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay range of $22.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and project requirements
