Job Description We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical support at our Hampton and Williamsburg offices. The NP will contribute information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives. General Duties and Responsibilities: Demonstrate a high degree of general medical and urological knowledge and exercise independent judgment as appropriate Assess the patient’s medical condition by completion of a urological examination Document appropriately and communicate with the appropriate physician in a timely manner as required, including, but not limited to: evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, treatment notes, and other reports as requested Order and evaluate laboratory, radiological and diagnostic tests Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications and devices based on the patient’s medical condition Develop and perform treatment plans in accordance with established protocols Order physical therapy, occupational therapy and/or home health care as appropriate Fulfill hospital rounding duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 5 years working in Nurse Practitioner role Urology of Surgical experience preferred Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner program Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr Urology-of-Virgin
