Material Handler

Job Title

Hours: Monday Friday 1st shift: 6am-2pm

Essential Functions

• Setup the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders.
• Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
• Perform warehouse responsibilities
• Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions, and repairs.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
• Forklift experience/ Certification
• Accurately loads material and meticulously monitors machine's process and finished product.
• Properly completes production paperwork and utilizes a barcoding system.
• Reviews and follows shipping order instructions and specifications.
• Ability to operate an air compressed bander.
• Ability to read packaging instructions on work orders.
• Expected to be able to handle tasks/cross-train to help the company meet its goals.

Required Education and Experience

• Education and/or experience High School degree or equivalent. Prior experience or training in a related field or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Math Must be able to use and understand simple mathematics, using addition, subtraction, fractions and decimals. Knowledge of the Standard/Imperial measuring system is required and knowledge of the metric system is a plus.
• Understanding and use of basic measuring instruments required; micrometers, digital calipers, tape measure is required.
