The Fuel Driver A is responsible for operating heavy-duty tanker vehicles to ensure the safe and timely delivery of fuel along designated local routes. This role emphasizes strict adherence to safety protocols, vehicle inspections, and accurate documentation while handling hazardous materials. The Fuel Driver reports directly to the Fleet Manager and plays a critical part in maintaining efficient fuel distribution operations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fuel safely and efficiently along local routes
• Navigate assigned delivery routes using appropriate tools and methods
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips
• Adhere to safety protocols, including hazardous materials handling
• Handle fuel transfers in compliance with established standards
• Verify and secure fuel loads prior to transportation
• Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle operation documentation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience holding a CDL Class A license
• TWIC Card
• Hazmat Endorsement

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Training in defensive driving techniques
• Knowledge of fuel handling safety procedures
• Strong communication skills
