Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in CVOR to provide high-quality cardiovascular surgical care. This travel position offers an opportunity to work in a highly reputable hospital with advanced technology and a dedicated team.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care for cardiovascular surgery patients.
• Monitor and interpret GE Carescape and Fuji ultrasound data to ensure patient stability.
• Assist with arterial line, central line, and epidural placements, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Administer medications, perform skin assessments, and manage large-bore IV starts.
• Support patient transport to the operating room, assist with induction, intubation, and positioning.
• Document all patient care activities accurately within Cerner system and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with at least 2+ years of critical care experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Strong critical thinking, excellent documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience with cardiovascular surgical procedures preferred.
• Ability to handle complex patient needs and adapt quickly to changing situations.
