Qualifications and Requirements:

• Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching license
• Relevant credentials and certifications for Special Education teaching
• Experience working with students with a variety of needs across different age groups
• Preferred: Background supporting students with behavioral challenges
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to each student's IEP
• Deliver instruction and modify curriculum to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
• Foster a safe, supportive, and positive classroom environment
• Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and families to achieve student goals
• Maintain accurate documentation for student progress and compliance
• Proactively support social, emotional, and academic growth
