Production Supervisor - (2nd Shift)

Job Title: Production Line Supervisor Location: Denison, IA Employment Type: Full Time Shift: 2nd Shift Role Overview The Supervisor oversees the production line workers, ensuring safe production, GMP compliance, and efficient output. Responsibilities Supervise production line operations and ensure adherence to safety protocols and GMP standards. Inspect the line for safety hazards before and during production. Maintain safety report cards; ensure workers fill them out and submit to supervisor. Read and apply specification sheets and GMP procedures. Perform changeovers, packing, and product transfer activities. Run equipment, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot machine issues. Assign work to line workers, train them in production goals, and update production metrics. Ensure all employees wear PPE, fill out safety cards, and keep the line clean. Manage paperwork for skid tickets, line checks, and quality checks. Coordinate with labor handlers for additional components. Escalate production problems to the Production Manager. Conduct quality checks and perform other duties as required. Recommend disciplinary actions for rule violations. Essential Duties and Requirements Physically and visually inspect the work area for safety hazards before shift. Continuously observe for safety and GMP compliance during shift operations. Enforce safety regulations, PPE usage, and accurate safety card completion. Maintain a clean and debris‑free line. Verify component availability and proper production metrics on the whiteboard. Coordinate with indirect labor/material handlers and sanitation crew. Use standard Excel documents and Outlook. Communicate independently and demonstrate initiative. Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred. At least 2 years of supervisory experience (preferably in manufacturing). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Goal oriented, confident, outgoing, and able to work well under pressure. Must be able to work independently and demonstrate effective initiative. Proficient with computer skills, Outlook, and standard Excel documents. Bi‑Lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
