Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Monday–Friday | 40 Hours/Week | Rotating Weekends & Holidays
Local Candidates Required: No
Traveler Candidates Required: Yes
Pay Rate: $75 – $79/hr
Note: This job doesn't offer any benefits.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to perform CT examinations, operate imaging equipment, and provide safe, high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
Required Qualifications
ARRT certification in Radiography (RT) and Computed Tomography (CT).
Valid Massachusetts State Radiation Control License for RT and CT.
Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiography Program.
High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of current CT Technologist experience within the last 5 years.
Current BLS certification.
Knowledge of radiation safety, infection control, and quality assurance procedures.
Responsibilities
Perform CT scans of designated anatomical areas as ordered by physicians.
Operate CT scanners, control consoles, peripheral hardware, and related equipment.
Select appropriate imaging techniques and evaluate images for technical quality.
Position patients and use immobilization devices to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
Review radiology orders and verify patient information before procedures.
Explain CT procedures to patients and answer questions.
Monitor and assist with patients’ physical and psychological needs during examinations.
Assist physicians and nurses with patient monitoring and treatment during procedures.
Assist with administration of radiographic contrast media when trained and authorized.
Apply radiation protection techniques, including beam restriction and patient shielding.
Maintain, set up, calibrate, and adjust CT equipment as required.
Maintain accurate radiology records and documentation.
Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
Participate in continuing education and professional development.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
