Technician - Level 2

Job Description Summary The mechanic/technician role performs preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in the safest and most effective way possible to avoid downtime. The fleet includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty line locations may have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment. Opportunities Build skills by working on a variety of makes, models, and equipment. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Diagnose equipment problems and provide necessary repairs. Maintain equipment in the safest and most effective manner to avoid downtime. Work on a variety of makes and models across the fleet. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired. 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment, or specialty line equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas equipment strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade. Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills. Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills. Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs. The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors when required by the job.
