The Supervisor verifies tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of merchandise exported/imported to/from foreign destinations. The supervisor examines various documents including invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements. The supervisor ensures compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products. The supervisor may contact customs officials to obtain release of incoming freight and resolve delays. Salary-$88,800-118,400 Key Responsibilities Manages and coordinates customs clearance activities in the customs house brokerage or gateway environment in an, efficient and cost-effective manner Ensures compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products being shipped through all DHL facilities Establishes, monitors, and revises policies, procedures and service standards for customs clearance operations Ensures all policies and procedures are consistently administered Responsible for meeting key performance indicators targets for a given product Supervises a staff of approximately 30 with two direct reports.
