Junior To Mid-Level Controls And Automation EngineerHyperion International Technologies is seeking a junior to mid-level Controls and Automation Engineer who will work with clients and vendors to design the systems and controls that meet the customer's needs. The Engineer will have a good understanding of the various technologies available and the ability to recommend the right solution based on the project needs. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, innovative, persistent and focused on customer service.Hyperion, an Integrated Water Services (IWS) company, designs and commissions industrial control systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities. Join us in building a better future, one drop at a time.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the design of industrial control systems.Develop and modify PLC and HMI programs under the guidance of senior control engineersRead electrical schematics, process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and control system documentationPerform electrical I/O verification of control panels prior to shipment and during system commissioningParticipate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of PLC/HMI applications, control panels, and integrated industrial equipmentVerify proper operation of control systems through testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of resultsTroubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, PLC, and HMI issues during startup and serviceInteract with engineers, operators, and customers to support installed control systemsAssist with system upgrades, modifications, and customer supportRequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering disciplineWorking knowledge of programming fundamentals, data types, logical operations, and basic debugging techniques. PLC programming experience is NOT required, but is a plusStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to read and understand electrical schematicsAbility to read process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) is a plusProficient with MS Office products and other standard software packages.Proficient with CAD and other design software platforms.PreferredExposure to PLC programming through coursework, internships, or personal projectsInternship experience in manufacturing, automation, or process industriesKnowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, Studio5000, RsLogix5000, or RS500 PLC programming software is a plusKnowledge of VTScada, Ignition, or FactoryTalk HMI software is a plusExperience with water and wastewater treatment is a plusWhy HyperionAt Hyperion, you'll have the opportunity to work on every phase of a controls project from design and programming to startup, commissioning, and customer support.
