Java Backend Developer with Kafka

Salary: $79,000 - 104,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience building high-speed, data-centric solutions
• At least 8 years of Java experience
• Practical experience with data streaming platforms such as Kafka
• Experience with cloud technologies and migrations; AWS foundational services experience is preferred, including VPCs, security groups, EC2, RDS, S3 ACLs, KMS, AWS CLI, and IAM
• Experience developing and delivering technical solutions using public cloud providers such as Amazon or Google
• Experience writing unit and integration tests using frameworks such as JUnit or Citrus
• Experience working with relational, NoSQL, object-based, and graph databases
• Experience following Git workflows
• Working knowledge of DevOps tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and frameworks such as Splunk, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, or AppDynamics
• Experience resolving security vulnerabilities
• Must be legally authorized to work in the roles location without current or future sponsorship; W-2 engagement only, no Corp-to-Corp

• Develop application solutions for business requirements within the agreed architecture framework and Agile environment
• Analyze requirements, develop and test software, and document quality to support correct implementation
• Follow SDLC procedures and uphold quality, end-user functional, architectural, performance, audit, security, and external reporting standards
• Analyze application and project risks and recommend quality improvements
• Support production by advising on system functionality and providing fixes as needed
• Promptly communicate software defects and delays to relevant team members and management
• Collaborate with business analysts, team leads, developers, architects, and product owners on scalable, resilient hybrid and cloud-based data solutions supporting critical financial activities and enterprise transformation
