Direct Counsel is representing a nationally recognized law firm, seeking a Commercial Litigation Partner for its New York office . This role is ideal for a senior litigator with extensive experience managing complex commercial disputes across state and federal courts and arbitral forums nationwide.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of complex commercial litigation from inception through trial
Serve as first-chair counsel in trials and hearings, with significant client interaction
Provide strategic guidance on litigation risk, case management, and resolution options
Oversee and mentor junior attorneys and litigation teams
Advise on matters involving real estate, debt/lender disputes, non-competes, and other commercial claims (preferred)
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
10+ years of complex commercial litigation experience
Active bar admission in New York
Proven ability to lead litigation matters independently and serve as trial counsel
Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills
Experience in a large law firm environment preferred
Background in real estate, lender/debt disputes, or non-compete matters is a plus
Estimated salary range: $300,000 – $340,000, with variation based on experience, business generation, and other factors.
