Project Manager / Estimator

National Electrical Contractor seeking full time Project Manager / Estimator. Must have verifiable experience and be willing to travel if needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all aspects of assigned commercial projects from commencement to completion. Manage all projects in a manner that exceeds the expectations of our customers and ensures that our work adheres to all company safety policies and OSHA-Mandated requirements
- Manage all financial aspects of projects through ongoing job forecasting
- Oversee pre-construction meetings to ensure successful handoff from estimating to field
- Collaborate with pre-fabrication and design departments
- Set clear goals and expectations to foreman
- Negotiate and resolve all customer concerns
- Estimate change orders when necessary
- Manage all job closeout procedures
- Conduct post project reviews to determine areas of future improvement
- Provide coaching/counseling to foreman
- Develop/maintain network of professional relationships within our industry
- Form, develop, and nurture relationships with clients, potential customers, and vendors
- Review bid documents, drawings, and specifications to obtain and develop scope of work
- Take-Off, input, and analyze bid data to formulate the best profitability rate and selling price for each job
- Review and/or negotiate selling price of contracts with customers
- Attend scope review meetings
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Working knowledge of Accubid software preferred
- Prior experience in electrical estimating
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers with excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Proven success in building a strong market/customer base
- Highly detailed and accurate
- Able to work in a team environment
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience as an electrical project manager
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree preferred but not required
