Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)Homestead Village, a thriving non-profit, CARF-CCAC accredited, Life Plan Community located just outside vibrant Downtown Lancaster, is seeking a highly skilled, enthusiastic, and passionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate community as we enhance independence and dignity for all our Residents.We are offering a $6,000 Sign-On Bonus!Location - The Apostle Center for Care, 56-bed Skilled Nursing FacilityBase Pay: Determined based upon years licensed and experience. Newly licensed CNA's start at $17.50; plus applicable shift & weekend differentialsShift/Weekend Differentials:$1.50 additional from 3:00pm-11:00pm$0.75 additional from 11:00pm-7:00am$1.25 additional on Weekends (Saturday & Sunday)Position/Schedule:Full Time; 4:45am-5:15pm; two days per week & every other weekend/holidayEssential Job Responsibilities and Objectives:Maintain an organized, neat, safe, secure, comfortable environment for every resident.Utilize Point of Care and care plan to provide resident care.Adhere to instructions issued by the Licensed Nursing Staff/Household Coordinator and perform duties in accordance with established Homestead Village routines, methods and techniques, and in compliance with Homestead Villages' policies, procedures, standards and practices.Work alone or as a team giving total care or assist residents with bathing and hygiene.Ambulatory transferring, positioning by using assistive devices such as a walker, wheelchair, mechanical lifts, gait belt or assigned therapeutic devices as directed on resident care plan.Answer call "bells" promptly regardless of assignment.Collect data such as temperatures, pulses, respirations, blood pressures and record onto data sheet daily.Record care as provided during the shift such as ADL's and ambulation.Assist residents with dining needs (this includes assisting in country kitchen), maintain intake and output as requested, weigh resident as instructed.Observe residents and reports physical and/or behavioral changes immediately to charge nurse.Interact tactfully, respectfully and cooperatively with residents, families, visitors and the entire staff throughout the organization.Perform all resident care as assigned and according to Homestead Village nursing department's policies and procedures.Participate in activities for residents as directed.Wash residents' personal laundry as needed.Perform cleaning and all other duties as assignedBenefits: all benefits begin on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment$6,000 Sign-On BonusMedicalDental & Vision - 100% covered by EmployerShort Term Disability - 100% covered by EmployerGroup Term Life Insurance - up to $50,000 - 100% covered by Employer401k or Roth IRA; max employer match is 4.5%Accrual Banks: Vacation & Sick TimePerfect Attendance Bonus ProgramReferral Bonus ProgramEducation Assistance ProgramFuneral LeaveHoliday pay; including your Birthday as a recognized Holiday* Homestead Village accepts EEOC exemption requests.QualificationsBehaviors:Preferred: Dedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrityPreferred: Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done wellPreferred: Enthusiastic: Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interestMotivations:Preferred: Ability to Make an Impact: Inspired to perform well by the ability to contribute to the success of a project or the organizationPreferred: Flexibility: Inspired to perform well when granted the ability to set your own schedule and goalsPreferred: Job Security: Inspired to perform well by the knowledge that your job is safeExperience:Preferred: 1 year: experience is preferred but not required.Licenses & Certifications:Required: CNA LicenseEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
