Family Practice - Without OB Physician

Location: 824 S. Van Buren Road, Eden, NC 27288 - Cross Streets: Linden Dr & E Harris Pl.
Status: Full Time

Schedule: 12 hour shifts Mon - Fri; 8-hour shifts Sat - Sun; standard clinic hours are Mon - Fri 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM and Sat - Sun 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with every other weekend and occasional holidays required

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate + monthly productivity bonus + monthly stipend for APP supervision

Benefits: Full-benefits package available Position Summary We are seeking a Full Time clinician to join our team in Eden, NC . This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast paced, well supported urgent care environment. Our full time schedules are designed, so clinicians are off more days than they work. The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low acuity presentations that keep skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow-up. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable)
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
• Code and bill services appropriately
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted North Carolina license for MD/DO
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency or Family Medicine
• Active DEA license
• Ability to treat patients of all ages
• Active BLS certification
• EHR proficiency
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)
• Must be willing to supervise APP clinicians as per North Carolina state requirements. An additional stipend will be paid per APP supervised.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast track experience
• Strong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)
• Experience with initial x ray interpretation prior to radiology over read
