Medical Assistant Cardiology Regular FT Full-Time Wichita Falls, TX, US Medical Assistant (Cardiology Department) Full-Time, Mon - Fri 8:00 am- 5:00 pm extended hoursare possible Responsible for the collection and preparation of medical records for patient care, coding and reimbursement activities, physician chart completion, and permanent record storage and retrieval. This position is responsible for ensuring the timely retrieval and process of medical record documentation to ensure that records are complete, accurate, in compliance and maintained in accordance with Regulations, State and Federal guidelines, and HIPPA standards. Reviews and edits the tickets for appropriate insurance information. Computer proficient in Microsoft Office Tools Chart prep incoming information from fax, scanned provider notes, in house information, external patient information, future patient appointments and new patient records. Performs chart prep for preloading electronic medical record according to departmental guidelines. Must be detail oriented and a self-starter Maintain open communication with physicians, staff, and supervisors to complete or resolve all issues.
