This role is ideal if you thrive in high-acuity settings and want to see your contributions and expertise make a visible difference in real time.Job DescriptionTo perform, interpret, check accuracy and report results on routine and complex laboratory procedures on body tissues, fluids, and other substances according to laboratory procedure manuals. To evaluate new instruments and/or methods, assuring correct reagent preparation and quality control information, leading troubleshooting efforts and monitoring the performance of equipment maintenance. May perform apheresis and/or bone marrows or coordinate the education, computer operations, quality control/quality assurance duties, and assume the supervisory function within a section as requested.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently credentialed as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) OR currently certified as a Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) required. Additional credentials may be recognized for the Blood Bank, Molecular and Microbiology departments.
