Pay: $70,260.44 Annual Salary

Essential Duties:

1. Conduct investigations as directed by the warden and institutional inspector of institutional services.
2. Assist in gathering intelligence and maintaining accurate records to document the activities of individuals suspected or known to pose a threat to the security of the institution.
3. Assist in processing grievances filed by inmates in compliance with all ODRC requirements regarding the inmate grievance system.
4. Assist in providing written decisions to inmate grievances in a confidential, impartial and effective manner.
5. Assist in training staff and inmates on the inmate grievance system.
6. Conduct scheduled reviews of facility operations and programming, including staff training programs, as directed.
7. Write accurate, timely reports documenting information pertaining to investigations and institutional reviews and distribute as required by institutional procedures.
8. Testify at hearing or in court proceedings, presenting evidence of violations.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year investigative or related experience required.
• A valid driver's license in the state of Ohio with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
• The selected candidate must be approved for hire by ODRC and must maintain appropriate facility security clearance.
• Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements.
