This leadership role is responsible for overseeing resident care, managing nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting the overall health and wellness of our residents. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and supervise the nursing and care team, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, to ensure high-quality care delivery - Oversee and conduct resident assessments, care planning, medication management, and health monitoring - Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local health regulations and standards - Serve as the primary clinical liaison for residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams - Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans based on resident needs and changes in condition - Monitor clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance - Lead quality assurance initiatives and participate in internal audits and surveys - Provide on-call support as needed and respond to emergencies or changes in resident status - Train, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff; support professional development and retention efforts - Coordinate with other departments to support holistic resident care - Maintain infection control standards and promote a safe, sanitary environment - Other duties as assigned Requirements: - High school diploma or GED required - Completion of an accredited school of nursing program - Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state of practice; compact license may be acceptable depending on state requirements - CPR/BLS certification required - Prior clinical leadership experience required, long-term care or similar setting preferred - Strong communication, problem-solving and leadership skills - Must pass required criminal background check in order to serve vulnerable adults - Must be screened TB and other state-required health care conditions - Be able to read, write, and comprehend English Physical Demands and Work Environment: - Indoors, climate-controlled assisted living facility with a focus on personalized care - Requires physical activity including standing, walking, lifting, and assisting residents - Possible exposure to unpleasant odors. - Possible exposure to chemicals as indicated in the MSDS manual. - Continuous exposure to clients and/or family members who may be under stress. - This job is considered “safety-sensitive”, which is defined as “any job that includes tasks or duties that the employer reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others”.
