The ideal candidate will assist with speech therapy services, student support, documentation, and implementation of speech therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) while supporting student [communication and individualized therapy goals]. Job Quick Facts Facility Type: School Shift Schedule: Minimum 20 hours/week up to maximum 40 hours/week Requirements Appropriate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant credential or certification as required by the State of Texas. Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Ability to provide speech therapy support services in accordance with assigned student IEPs and SLP direction. Responsibilities Assist the supervising SLP with the implementation of students’ speech therapy services. Provide assigned speech therapy activities under the direction and supervision of the SLP. Support students in achieving speech and communication goals identified in their IEPs. Assist with therapy activities and exercises appropriate to assigned students’ needs. Follow treatment plans, schedules, and instructions established by the supervising SLP. Monitor and document student participation and progress during assigned therapy activities. Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to services provided. Follow District standards, procedures, and applicable requirements for student services.
