Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Renal)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to an adult and geriatric patient population on a Renal Medical-Surgical unit
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5–6 on a 49-room unit with an average daily census of 48
• Utilize Epic (required) , Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework in daily practice
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Adhere to weekend rotation expectations (every other weekend) and holiday work requirements per assignment schedule
• Fulfill charge nurse responsibilities as applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers are accepted
• Charge nurse experience requested
• Proficiency with Epic is required
• All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests can be made post-offer or onsite, including during orientation week
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in renal or medical-surgical nursing
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Prior travel nursing experience with an understanding of compliance and onboarding timelines
