Institutional Services Assistant

Description The Institutional Services Assistant works under general supervision and is responsible for general cleaning and upkeep of buildings. This position is governed by agency/institution policy. This is an on-campus position. If not residing within a reasonable commuting distance from Camden, AR, relocation is required. Examples of Duties Cleaning classrooms, including floors, chalkboards and classroom furniture on a daily basis. Cleaning restrooms on a daily basis. Cleaning carpets on a daily basis. Cleaning other general use areas on a daily basis. Setting up furniture in conference and meeting rooms as needed. Performing other cleaning duties as needed. This will include cleaning windows, doors, baseboard, dusting furniture, etc. Working in a cooperative and productive manner with other team members. Stripping and waxing floors. Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned. Minimum/Preferred Qualifications Education : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Experience : Six months to one year related experience Certificates & Licenses AR Driver's License Background check is required. Position will be open until filled. Work Environment The Institutional Services Assistant has frequent contact with other custodial workers.
