Job Title: Senior Database Administrator (DBA) — SQL Server / Oracle / GIS Location: Tallahassee, FL 32301 Job Description Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered. Required Experience: Minimum 5 years of combined database administration experience . Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or higher . Strong experience with Oracle 10g or higher . Experience with Azure SQL is a plus. Experience with AWS SQL/database services is a plus. Experience managing ArcGIS Server is a plus. Experience with GIS, spatial databases, and ESRI SDE Geodatabases . Strong knowledge of relational database management, database architecture, design, and administration. Key Responsibilities Perform daily SQL Server, Oracle, and GIS database administration activities. Plan, design, implement, and support database structures and schemas. Perform database performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning . Develop and maintain DBA procedures, standards, and technical documentation. Conduct SQL code reviews and recommend optimization opportunities. Support database activities for application enhancements, upgrades, and rewrites. Design, develop, amend, and optimize database schemas based on application requirements. Support enterprise database production issues and independently troubleshoot complex problems. Develop database and data-warehouse solutions across multiple platforms and computing environments. Maintain data dictionaries, database schemas, and application/data architectures according to department standards. Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Data Analysts, developers, and infrastructure teams. Assist with training and mentoring junior technical/database staff. Ensure database solutions comply with organizational and AST security standards . Contribute to overall enterprise data architecture and long-term database strategy.
