We are excited to announce an opportunity for an ABIM board certified/eligible Transplant Hepatologist to join our Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in collaboration with a prominent university. This position is located in a vibrant desert city and is ideal for a Hepatologist skilled in managing various liver diseases, looking to advance their career in academic medicine. The selected candidate will provide transplant care for patients with end-stage liver disease, focusing on all aspects of pre- and post-transplant care while also managing a busy Advanced Liver Disease practice. Our Hepatologists collaborate with a dynamic multidisciplinary team and actively participate in selection committees, quality assurance initiatives, education, and research within this expanding program.

Position Details:

• Academic role with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
• Join a collaborative team of 6 Hepatologists, 10 Gastroenterologists, 3 Advanced Practice Clinicians, and fellows.
• Work at a Level 1 Trauma Center with a 733-bed capacity in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
• Standard work hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Participate in a 1:5 unrestricted call rotation, including weekends and holidays.
• Access to advanced technology such as vibration-controlled transient elastography and magnetic resonance elastography.
• Engage in a robust clinical trial program, including investigator-led studies and clinical/translational research.
• Essential duties include performing upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, evaluating patients with chronic and end-stage liver disease, and managing pre- and post-transplant patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

• ABIM board certified/eligible in Transplant Hepatology.
• Completed fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology.
