Clinical Dietitian I - Full Time - 1st Shift

Facility: Dayton Children's – Main Campus Department: Clinical Nutrition Schedule: Full time Hours: 40 per week Responsibilities Assesses nutritional needs, develops, implements, evaluates nutritional care plans and reports results appropriately. Participates in ongoing education programs for hospital staff and the community. Acts as an integral part of the nutrition care team in assigned and covered areas. Coordinates activities with the department’s management team. Shares on‑call responsibilities on a rotating weekly basis during non‑scheduled working hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays). Demonstrates competence in problem solving, priority setting, and applies scientific and theoretical knowledge to patient care. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or a related field. Experienced candidates may be eligible for a clinical dietitian II or III; new graduates may be hired with an expectation to pass the RDN exam within 6 months of hire. Failure to pass the RDN exam within 6 months will result in termination or movement to an alternate role until the exam is passed.
