Physical Therapist Opportunity

VHS is looking for a qualified Physical Therapist. The position is located in Syracuse, NY, with a duration of 13 weeks and an 8-hour variable shift. The pay rate is $27.00 per hour plus $1200 per week in non-taxed travel per diem (candidate must reside further than 50 miles from facility location). Certification requirements will be confirmed upon application.

Qualifications: B.S. in Physical Therapy, NYS License or eligible, and 2 years of experience required. Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Duties include:

• Evaluating plans and implementing programs in accordance with indicated procedures
• Formulating specific goals for patient treatment by collaborating with other health care personnel and the patients
• Preparing and maintaining notes and discharge records in a timely manner
• Attending designated clinics, rounds, and conferences, and rendering patient information
• Participating in educational programs for staff members, students, volunteers, and other professional health care personnel
• Training new staff members
• Serving as a clinical instructor for senior level students
• Facilitating new program development
