On-Site (5 days) Join Trane Technologies as a Manufacturing Engineer in Rushville, IN! In this role, you will operate innovative engineered systems and develop, coordinate, and implement sustainable manufacturing production processes. Your cross-functional team will be focused on delivering quality, safety, and operational efficiency improvements. Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures and is the first point of contact for line stoppage.
- Assists Manufacturing Engineering team with researching and specifying options for equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality to resolve production issues.
- Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
- Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations.
- Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.
- Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.
- Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.
- Serve as a voice of the customer for input for new design development.
- Partner with on-site EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
• Preferred experience with project management or project launch.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, Poke-Yoke, Value Stream Mapping, etc.)
• Ability to quickly determine root cause utilizing 8D's and 5 why tools.
• Ability to quickly assess manufacturing issues related to design and tolerancing.
• Low/High Voltage knowledge and troubleshooting.
• PLC programming a plus. Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:
