Baker and Packager Associate

Position Summary Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes and organization? Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members through recipe following, wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available to take home to their families. Be an Expert: Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment; follow recipes/make‑up instructions; wrap, label, and store merchandise according to company policies and food safety, sanitation, cold chain, and inventory standards; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; and demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Ensure operational excellence, maintain work area according to company policies and procedures, uphold quality and date control standards for bakery items, secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise, eliminate waste, assist members with purchasing decisions, and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member experience, modeling high‑quality service and products, executing the basics at the highest level of quality, and exhibiting energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; use the Open Door Policy; apply these in executing business processes and practices. Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress; recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback. Provide exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have; maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members; maintain a clean, neat, and member‑ready area.
