Job Title: Mission Support Specialist for Retreat and Renewal Ministries Location: Diocese of Peoria, Spalding Pastoral Center - Curia, Peoria IL Reports to: Chief of Mission Job Type: Full-time About the Role The Mission Support Specialist for Retreat and Renewal Ministries is a key member of the Office of Mission Support for the Diocese of Peoria. The Office of Mission Support exists to equip and accompany parishes in living out Jesus' mission to grow disciples. This role leads the planning and coordination of new and existing retreats, large faith formation gatherings, and other mission-focused initiatives that help the faithful of the diocese encounter Jesus and more fully participate in the life and mission of the Church. This role will serve parishes directly by creating capacity through opportunities for people at every stage of the discipleship journey to encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and be equipped for mission. Scope of the Role

• Plan and execute Mission Support retreats and renewal opportunities ranging from small (20-50 participants) to large (1000+ participants)
• Coordinate multiple offerings simultaneously throughout the year at varying stages of development
• Manage logistics, communications, and engagement strategies
• Contribute to both the strategic vision and day-to-day execution

What You Will Do

• Lead the end-to-end execution of Mission Support retreat and renewal programming including logistics, timelines, and on-site management for new and existing initiatives
• Coordinate vendors, venues, travel, lodging, and hospitality
• Oversee registration systems, attendee communications, and event materials
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support event execution
• Ensure excellence in participant experience from initial invitation through post-event follow-up
• Collaborate with the Mission Support Team to design and launch exciting new mission-focused retreat and renewal opportunities

• Willingness to travel throughout the diocese and for national and international events
• Availability to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules
